Activities for everyone

At this year's AASHTO annual meeting, there is something for everyone. Portland and its surrounding area are a wonderful place to visit with fun activities and interesting sites for the whole family to enjoy. AASHTO meeting organizers have planned some special events for registered spouses/guests.

Activities and events for registered spouses/guests

Hospitality Suite - The Governor's Suite on the 22nd floor of the Hilton Hotel will be open to registered spouses/guests for refreshments, activities and socializing from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 26 - Oct. 30. Continental breakfast will be served each morning and snacks will be available throughout the day. Activities include crafts, games, puzzles and information about area attractions and shopping. Be sure to sign up for a tour of Portland's reknowned Japanese Garden or an outing to one of America's largest antique shows.

Crafts - Come to the Hospitality Suite to learn how to make something special to take home. On Friday, Oct. 27 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. make handbeaded jewelry. On Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. make natural bath and beauty products. On Monday, Oct. 30 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. make a travel pillow.

Tours - Sign up in the Hospitality Suite for two fun outings. Tours of the Japanese Gardens are scheduled for Oct. 27, 28 or 30 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tours will depart from the Hilton Hotel. Trips to the Palmer Wirfs Antique Show at the Portland Expo Center are planned for Oct. 27 and 28 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Golf where the pros play. We've arranged for prime tee times at the Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club for AASHTO Annual Meeting attendees.
