Rob Atkinson will examine how the politics of mobility our nation enjoyed before the 1970s were replaced by today's politics of constraint.  He will then lay out a vision for what transportation officials must do to end the policy and transportation gridlock and get America moving again.

Substantial work is underway with the USDOT and automobile industry to develop and test new technologies that will more closely integrate vehicles and roadways.
